I am working to find a load for my 6dasher with 68gr bullets. I am needing a 100yard load and thought that this might work. I tried some benchmark and it shot pretty good. I didnt know if someone could suggest a powder and starting charge weight for my dasher shooting 68gr custom bullets. My Barrel is an 8.5 twist so i hope i am successful in my attempt. Any help would be great. I am shooting against ppc at these local club shoots, thus being another reason i hope this works out. The 105's are real good at 500 yards but i am hoping to improve @ 100 yards. Lee

If you are competing against PPC rifles, and want to be competitive, you should have used a 13.5 or 14 twist barrel. Your 8.5 twist is better suited for the longer ranges. Now, I'm not saying that some fast twist barrels won't shoot light bullets well, they will, but not usually well enough to compete with a true short range bench rifle.

DocED, I know that i cant hang with the good ppc shooters but i if i can get these little bullets to work well at 100 yards maybe i wont come in last place either. I shot some last night and they looked pretty good. 4 shots in around .256. I built this rifle for long range shooting but there again not much long range shooting around here. The club matches are for fun really, as i have a lot to learn yet as far as getting the proper technique down and building some consistency to my game. I really enjoy them but at this time i dont have a ppc to shoot with them so i am making do with what i have. I do have a 22br that shoots pretty good but it is also an 8 twist. I will get something figured out. I was hoping someone around here could suggest a powder for me to use in the dasher for the lighter bullets. Thanks Lee

VV-133 or H-322 works well with 55's, but a touch on the fast side for 70's. So work with powders the next step slower.
