68-70 bullet powders

What are the predominant powders now for the 6mmBR for 68-70 GR. bullets. Thanks all, Brian.

I use my 6BR for varmint hunting. Mostly 58 GR Hornady & 60 Gr Sierra. I tried mostly H322, Varget, RE15, Varget and RE15 100-150 fps slower. H322 & 8208 are faster. I use nothing but 8208 now. The 60 gr Sierra Varminter is an excepttinal bullet.

I shoot three powders for those weight bullets because I like the speed/accuracy/throat life

H335
AA2230
H335
Rem 7 1/2

55g Nosler ballistic tip at 3875-3900 is simply unbelievable with H335, so is the 60g Sierra

Tac is on the list to try in my zero free bore reamer chambers.

In my hay day of p. dog shooting, the h335 would go 300 rounds in-between cleaning intervals, where H322 would go 125 and be a bear to get out. AA2015 was as bad or worse than H322.

6000+ round of throat life on a zero free bore chamber is a very good thing. I had one that was still shooting in the 2's at 8000 rounds(Atkinson barrel), had to up the powder charges a tad to get the tune back.

I have a video with me shooting in my underwear at 95* where the ground was alive with P. dogs, shooting 5-7 rounds per minute with my RBLP Stolle, every shot was a PLOP! We were shooting under a large tarp, deer flies and knats were Heck to deal with.

It is a miracle that DEET has not killed me!

So much for H335 and heat.
First time I had problems with H335, a fellow told me I should have. I had two issues that day in two boxes of ammo. I don’t shoot with the fellow anymore and surprisingly, no more gremlins.

I certainly agree that N-135 is one of the best for this application. That is what I shot years ago when I first started in BR group with my non-competitive 6BR, but I was able to beat most of the 6PPC's with that rifle shooting N-135 and Fowler 66's. These days I'm shooting 6BR for prairie dogs and looking for easy loading of ammo thus the TAC. I can accurately throw charges of TAC and shooting 65V-Max at almost 3600 with no signs of pressure in my rifle. Also using it at .5 grain less charge with 70 Sierra BK for about 3450. Both loads can give me 1/4 MOA on a good day. It appears to be "dirtier" than N-135 but seems to clean up just fine. I'm surprised at the sparse amount of reloading data for TAC.

Always used 33 gr Varget w/68's @ 3300 fps.... one hole groups
What kind of speed / accuracy you getting from h335. Have a bunch of that as well.

6BR and N-135 68 grain bt hp bullet gives you what kind of velocity???
6ppc I'm getting 3500fps 68 grain bt hp v-133 -30.5 grains. no pressure signs until outside temp gets over a 100 with high humidity. On cooler days it will lower to 3450 fps but still groups well.
