Yeah that happens on occasion and I'm sure you've seen that usually results in a perfect line either horizontal or vertical depending on which cable is crossed (even if you shoot a tight group it'll still be on pretty much a single line, not a round group).Congrats on her awesome shooting! I hope someone took a photo of the target afterwards just for reference, even if it is calibrated high.
On a related note, I run a F-class league in MN and we started using shotmarker targets last season. One night, one of our nat'l record holding Open shooters was shooting a new F-TR rifle. Every shot was recorded as an X. It started out as everyone being amazed as his shooting. after about 25 shots, he thought we were messing with him so he added 2 MOA to his elevation. Next shot was an X too. It turns out our pit staff had accidentally swapped two cables on the sending unit. I don't remember which two but I hope it happens to me sometime too!
