6 ppc wildcats.

Bought a used rifle, supposed to be ppc. Fireformed 2 cases today looks like 35-40 degree shoulder. So my question is any ideas what this abomination might be? Head space is 1.154 on the fired cases, shoulder diameter is .431. Fireformed case on the left, norma 6ppc case on the right

Some time back, Dan Dowling was tinkering (wildcatting) and developed what he dubbed the Sand-Jammer.
I seen the reamer one day while visiting and asked about.
If I recall correctly, it was a PPC with a 40* shoulder.

The short range guys will know something for sure.

Think something like this might be likely as its a benchrest rifle. Hall b action, but a longer barrel then alot i see. Its 24 " and rather heavy. Can I get custom dies made from fired cases?

If you are already set up for your pictured PPC case, and the barrel is the correct twist, I would set it back.

Buy either a set of 6 Grendel or 6 Arc dies. Either should work if you are dead set on using it. Arc would be best if the datum is .442 or close.

Do you know if it throated to suit your intented use?
Are you using forblong range or short range
?

Grinch is based on the PPC case or 6.5 Grendel necked down. Then blown out.
