6 mm dasher/80 grain bullets

has any one used the dasher with bullets in this80 to 88 grain .describe your gun and what your thoughts on it are.

I tried 87 gr hunting VLD With H CFE223 26'' BBL 37.0 was 3300 fps and shot well. Bad to the bone on Hogs. Larry

I have a light carry rifle in 6 Dasher that drives tacks with the 87 V-max at about 3000 fps. from a 22" barrel. The coyotes do not like it. Bullets expand as far as you can hit them. ;D Lots of fun when the snow flies.

I have a 12 and 10 twist dasher that shoots 80gr. Nosler ballistic tips quite well for groundhogs. I have a HV grounghog gun, bat action and I use stout load of varget pushing them around 3560 fps. I really like the little dasher for the mid weight bullets. I wanted to shoot the 87's (hince the 2nd dasher barrel lol) bad but I just couldn't get the accuracy I knew the dasher was capable of.

I've tried the 87 vmaxs but I couldn't get them to shoot well but I was able to get them going over 3300 without issues. The powders I tried for the 80-87's were varget and N135 and both my barrels liked varget well over n135 but it seems like many people have great luck with the n135 and these weight bullets.

I had the Berger 87 VLD's shoot very well also but I just didn't have enough to do anything with them and then kinda forgot about them till just now but they did well in both barrels.

What are you trying to do with your dasher?
