6 dasher velocity r-15 and varget 108 berger loads

i shot the varget with a BTO of 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850
1820 shot a 1" group at 400 and looks promising avg velocity over 5 rounds 2950fps this is 20 thousands off lands

32.8 reloader 15 at 1830 (10 off lands) shot 1.2" and 400 yards chrono didnt record this data i got and error, my guess from last loads is 2905 fps

going to do very small amount of testing on each load and pick one

also it was 55 degress and 5-6 mph crosswind
both groups where less then 3/4 inch except one barley outside the group

all the other groups shot 2-3 inches and one 4" group

.120 FB
32.8 gr Varget
28" Hawk Hill, 4 groove, .236 bore barrel
108 BT jammed 10K into the lands

Velocities are around 2980 fps and ES of 4-5 fps.

yea varget 32.8 gets me right around 2960 with single digit es also produced nice small groups

i have loaded some more to test at 600 yards next time its nice out
also loaded some r-15 that tested good last time have 3 5 shot groups of each to confirm which load i will be shooting

I get the difference, is the primer cci 450 verses a cci br4……… jim

How do those measure? Are they skinny? Really short bearing? Both maybe? Never seen one, just curious.

I don't remember the diameter but they are short on bearing. Close to Berger VLD. Matt

.2430 shank and .2432 PR. no, the bearing surface is longer than a VLD.
