Dasher w/107 SMK loads

Thanks all.
Went out yesterday to try the 107's at mid-range, thaw is here, muddy, wet, darn good day!
Shot 6, five shot groups, they averaged 2.525 @ 600 yards. Did not hold for wind which was 3-5 with gusts to 8 left to right. Not sure if this is enough to be competive in f-class or not however the SMK did their part.

Great group! What load is this and was it the best out of the six?

I tried the 107s a while back and had written them off. A friend recommended I try them a little further out. I've had very nice results at 23 thousandths jump at 2960 fps. This is a Dasher with 28 inch 8 twist Bartelin. new one is a Borden with 28 inch 7.5 twist Bartelin.

I'm curious to hear what velocity others are finding their accuracy nodes at.

The first photo is 107 gr SMK .004 longer than lands with soft neck tension (.002), 32.2 gr of Varget, BR-4 primer. The second photo (smaller group) is exactly the same except it has 32.5 gr Varget. More testing needs to be done before I could say it was a better load or the screw behind the stock needs adjusted.

In this gun with my chrony, 33.1 gr Varget averaged 3152. I did not test the 32.5 or 32.2 loads.
Although last fall I tested the Berger 108s with 32.2, they averaged 3063 & the 32.5 load averaged 3095.

That will vary by the barrel. I feel the barrel determines the accuracy node. What works for one might not in the next. Most guys are shooting the Dasher at 2950 to 3050. Usually there is more then one node. Matt
