6 Dasher stuck case issue

The gun is a Bighorn TL3, I actually have 2 of them and tried both bolts with no luck. If I pull the bolt enough it will slip over the rim taking a piece of the brass with it. I have a cheap borscope and didnt notice anything but I did think the chamber seemed very shiny. Had trouble not getting glare while looking at it.

Trying to get the specs from Proof, but my understanding was it was a no turn neck.
You can do a quick check by trying to insert a bullet into a fired, unsized case. If the bullet will go into the case with no resistance you have ample room in the neck. I'm guessing that your issue will be at the base of the case since the brass was fired in another chamber.

A highly polished chamber is not a good thing. That said, in spite of using the ring die, I agree with @Danley that the issue is most likely brass related. The ring die, if the one @pbike257 sells, is custom made to a specific size (not generic) so it may be taking it down just enough to give you a false security.

Was the same reamer used as on the other barrels? I have used cases in 20 different barrels and a number of different guns and all work, but were chambered with the same reamer and they are with in a .001 or less..... jim

Last barrel was a Benchmark from TS customs, this one is a Proof TL3 prefit. So definitely not the same chamber job.

Did this and the bullet goes in to a fired case with little resistance. Thanks for the tip.

Thats where I got it from, didn't give a specific size I just ordered it through email. Fixing to upload some pics of colored brass that been fired.

Here are a couple of fired pieces of brass that were completely covered with sharpie. Definitely a small line around the base about a 1/3 up the case. This well used brass has been ran through the ring die, but my other set of once fired has not and they both measure the same .466 at that spot. Looking forward to you guys help.20200829_090513.jpg 20200829_090517.jpg 20200829_090546.jpg

Last pics. This is a piece from a different lot. One time fired brass that hasn't been ran through the ring die. Chambers and extracts fine as a loaded round. After firing I had to tap it out with a cleaning rod. Again, thanks for any help.

if your brass is measuring .466 in that area it sounds like your chamber is too small/tight,,,mine are ~.468 there,,,Roger

how's your headspace? is it tight, if you tried to gain on headspacing long it will drive u nuts..ask me how I know lol..done it 1 time the last time..prolly lucky I didn't kill myself...stupid is as stupid does on me

Yep the base isn't sized enough, and the shoulder maybe a little too much. send fired cases to Harrells and get a die...... jim

I still don’t think there is a valid reason for the previous brass to chamber well and then get stuck. Is there anything extraordinary about the last chamber or the new one that would cause this? Is one or both Of them very far from normal specifications? Was this last loading too hot?
I'm thinking there is always a reason. Stuck brass almost ALWAYS is due to high pressure. So - you just need to rule out what the options are that could cause the pressure to be so high on a load you feel should be O.K. On a new barrel - I'd go through this list. 1) Be certain your new neck is not so small as to not freely allow friction-less loading (check with felt-marker). 2) Be certain your trim length being used is proper for your new chamber - not just using "book" lengths. This can be especially true when your reamer is what would be considered "minimum spec" which a lot of after-market specialty barrels are. Buying a chamber cast kit from Brownell's can quickly and inexpensively rule these out. 3) Check for bullet contact with the lands. Your old loaded OAL length may be too long for the new chamber without creating a jam - which would raise pressure a bit. Use Hornady or other tool to quickly check this. Or simply use felt marker on bullet to check for contact after loading and unloading. Seeing how you already reduced the bases, that "should have" taken care of base issues. I think those items covers most common things - then there are a few things maybe not though of - such as 1) Did you ream the flash holes while prepping for the new barrel? That could raise pressure. Did you work up the powder ladder with a new barrel as should always be done? Your new barrel might not be able to take the load you are feeding it. If you are within 150 fps of what are normally considered "max loads" for that cartridge, try backing off the load and working back up. I have barrels that can't tolerate some "max' loads in a few of the manuals. Good Luck!

Its your chamber finish- detail and chamfers are not there like one done by hand and inspected by a gunsmith that doesnt want his phone to ring. I bet it looks like a mirror inside and a very sharp edge going into the chamber.
