I have a pound of 8208 I want to try...what would be a good starting point with Berger 105vld?

Not a Dasher, but I just tested some 8208 in my 6mmBR.

Just as a FYI for you, I will have to shoot no more than 29 gr of 8208 to not get pressure problems in my 6mmBR. This is 1 grain less than my current load with VARGET.

Accuracy was phenomenal! About .2 at 100 yards for 5 shot groups with 29.2 grains of 8208 with Wolf primers, Lapua cases, and Berger 105 BT's seated with a .020" jump. This load was causing slight ejector marks on the brass.

I will be testing and chronographing 29 grains very soon in my 6mmBR.

Using 33 gr. of 8208 with both 105 A-Max and 105 Nosler custom comp. bullets. Yields 3000 fps with Lapua brass. and Wolf SRM primers, oal is 2.455 as I recall, no turn neck. Single digit sd's were the norm after I got past 31.0 gr.

My partner has been doing the same in a BRX and a Dasher. He fireformed with 29.0 grains.

For your loads, Start about 30.0 and expect to go up! Super accurate powder and so far there has been no change with Temp. We have tried it in 40 and 80 degree weather with no change.

I tested a few loads with 32.5, 32.8 and 33.0. I saw no signs of pressure with 33.0 and was yielding 3025 fps. I have a few Sierra 107's loaded with 33.0 gr to test. It shot the best with 33.0 with Berger 105 vlds.
