6 dasher reamer?

Never had a reamer built, if want to use that print, Frank, would I send JGS that spec sheet and ask them to build it? I’d be looking at around $175?

If you want to use it....it’s cool with me. It’s around the $175. I’d probably change it to a .273” neck. I’ve run Lapua and the early Norma brass with no issues.

I recently did up a PTG reamer. Its a .272nk and .150fb with a bore rider throat. This is doing very well with lapua blue box fireforming and hydroformed with 105 hybrids, rdfs and barts gungnirs

I’m not a fan of the bore rider throat. I feel once the throat starts to wear it will be hard to keep in tune and or the gun will change tune quickly over x amount of rounds being fired.

Frank, I know where your coming from but mine and others testing and using bore rider throat and many variations have had solid results many different cases or cartridges . in the dasher case often throat will wash at about double the rate but does not appear on paper to flounder as a result do to extra creep or throat distortion. there are many things at play here that I will not discuss here but some of the best results we are having in bench rest long range, short and F-class are coming out of the bore rider type throats interestingly enough.

It does put the bearing surface at the shoulder/neck junction. I run a mandrel thru all the necks and check them with a pin gauge afterwards to keep the donuts in check. You will have an advantage of using the full neck to support the bullet.

I've got the same body dimensions on my 6 dasher with 271 neck and .150 freebore. I like the .4708 number on the base and a harrells d3.5 or d4 die keeps the brass running smooth and the primer pockets nice and tight
