6 Dasher info

Hi, I'm currently ordering all my components to built 6 Dasher and it's now time to order my reamer, I was told not to touch Pacific Tools and order a Clymer, any comments would be appreciated

Second, I've look for dies and seater, 2 possible option, Forster and Redding, the Forster are about 1/3 of the price of the Redding but are they as good?

I'd be willing to bet a dollar that there are by far more chambers cut with PTG reamers then by Clymer's.
Not disrespecting either company's but as I know it PTG has a real great fallowing. A couple gunsmiths that I go to, PTG is all they have for reamers. I only own 4 reamers myself and all 4 are PTG.

For what reason were you told not to order a PTG? I have a PTG Dasher reamer and nothing wrong with it. Never had a Clymer, but never heard any negatives bout them.

Here too......

I will not bash Clymer, as i have never used them, all my reamers are from PTG.......

I was told by a gunsmith to stay away from them that the quality was not good, that's why I did a little investigating before ordering from Pacific tools (better safe then sorry ;) )

yes i would like to know why not PTG?
I have had some trouble with PTG as far as time, what i was told, dident get my print ect ect. I wont get into it.
but its cause they were just so...busy......

And i think the record rifle 6 dasher is a PTG reamer, i talked to dave K about a 6 dasher reamer and he knew excatly what reamer and free bore. the problem seems to be if you talk to someone other than dave K.

I can't comment on Clymer, but PTG has never given me reason to look for a different reamer maker. Dave did an awesome job helping me with spec'ing the reamer for my .260AI to shoot a specific bullet.

I agree with Jay, I talked with Dave Kiff on my 6brx reamer, he was very helpful and in just a few minutes of talking with him he knew exactly what I was needing he transferred me to a office girl so I could give all necessary info, a few days later I realized I hadn't ordered a go gauge and my smith needed to know a date when the reamer might arrive so we would know what to do so our new rifles would be ready for the first shoot of the year (end of March) and this was the first of Feb, so I called PT&G back she said just a minute and put me on hold, in just a short time she returned and said no problem we would have our tooling in time, AND WE DID :D I have a few Clymer reamers and have no complaints with them but the only new reamers I have bought have been from PT&G and I have been very happy with them. I have herd they were slow but I have personally not had that experience yet.
Wayne.
