Personally I would turn them first, so part of the 6BR neck becomes part of the 6Dasher shoulder. Eliminating having to turn to the shoulder, if turned as a formed 6Dasher. Hopefully this makes sense.I will soon have a tight neck 6 dasher barrel, and I was wondering what the preferred method is.
Do you generally turn the necks as 6BR cases then run them through the Hydroformer, or hydroform first then neck turn as a Dasher?
Hydro-forming dies does a better job if necks are not turned prior to hydro-forming. I will not hydro-form any brass if the necks have been turned. I would have hydraulic fluid sprayed all over my shop if I did.I will soon have a tight neck 6 dasher barrel, and I was wondering what the preferred method is.

I thought I was doing something wrong. I always hydroform first and then turn necks. Works out just fine.Hydro-forming dies does a better job if necks are not turned prior to hydro-forming.
