6 Dasher barrel Krieger vs Bartlein

I'm having a Dasher built. Have everything figured out but manufacturer of barrel. I thought I read on here guys have more luck with Kriegers on the Dasher vs. the Bartlein.

I've always used Bartlein. Just posting this for any opinions. I'd think they are both great. Which one would you pick out of the two.

It will be .237 and 1-7.75 tw 4 groove barrel.

I am on my 4th Dasher barrel. I have had 2 Kriegers and 2 Bartleins. The Kriegers were 1-8 with a .236 bore. The Bartleins were 1-7.5's and .237 bores. RESULTS: The 2 Kriegers shoot excellently with little load development. They appear to like almost everything. My first Dasher would shoot inside 5" at 1000 yards pretty consistently IF conditions were good>>>and I am NOT a very good L/R shooter. The Bartleins were more "finicky" BUT the first one, shot AWESOME >>with 1 load>>period. But once I found that load, it was great. My 2nd Bartlein, I gave up on. It would not shoot anything well. It shot "okay" but after you have had REALLY GOOD Dashers, "okay" is BAD! LOL!! So I took it off and replaced it with a 1-8 twist .236 Bore, 4 groove conventional Krieger.. So far it is doing well and I have not got 100 rounds down the barrel yet!! NOTE: I am NOT Bashing Bartlein barrels! I have a 30-06A.I. with a 1-10 5R Bartlein barrel. It may be the BEST barrel of any cartridge I have ever had! So please do not judge just by MY experiences>>>> I am just giving you MY experience with 6mm Dasher barrels!

No experience with Krieger in 6 Dasher, but plenty in other calibers.

My Dasher is barreled with the Bartlien 5R, and is the best shooting barrel that I have ever shot.

I am relatively new to BR LR 6 Dasher shooting so take my words with a grain of salt. I've used Brux, Bartlien and Kriegers in a Dasher. All shot good to excellent. The Kriegers all seemed to tune easier/faster and all have shot very good or better. I have 7.75 and 8 twist .237 bores on the Kriegers. Last year I decided to stock up on some barrels and I bought HV profile 8 twist .237 bore Kriegers for all of them.

Good Shooting.

Both very fine barrels and as Dusty stated...either one a +. I've shot most but the only two "hummer" barrels I ever owned were Broughton, go figure. One a 6, the other a 7mm. Always looking for that next "golden rod"!! Eric in DL

I have both. The Krueger is on a BAT and the Bartlein is on a Stolle. Both shoot well. Krueger is conventional 1-8. Bartlien is 5R - 1-7.5.

Normally use the Bartlein in 1000 matches as it does seem to have an edge there. Krieger is a hammer at 600. Different seating depths and within .2 of a grain in powder with the same 105 Bergers.

Have used many Kriegers and all have been good. This is my first Bartlein.

I've shot Bartlien, Brux and Douglas barrels in my Dasher.

They all shot well but those with a .236" bore shot better than the .237"s.
