6 brx free bore

What is the most common freebore for the 6 brx ? Wanting to shoot the 88 to 108 gr bullets. Also who carries a go gauge in this caliber ? Wanting to install on a savage myself .
Thanks

There is a huge thread on this over at benchrest.com Basically what I got from it was call one of the reamer manufactures and tell them what bullets you are going to shoot and get their opinon. I think somewhere around .104. Also the question is Neck turn or not. Mine is a .271 and I don't turn the necks. I might in the future but it currently shoots better than me so I know where the problem is currently. :o

I use a .120" free bore on top of a 1.560" case length (works great for me with those bullets). I will happily e-mail you a reamer drawing if you want to see it. Another option is to call Dave Kiff at Pacific Tool or Cary at JGS and ask what they would recommend, but I suspect it will be very close to those numbers.

Do you ever have to trim your brass? How far in the lands do you seat your bullets. Several of my current loads have some room left in the brass. I would like my loads a bit more compressed. I wonder if I could shorten the body by .03 or so and make a longer neck?

You can certainly push the shoulder back and make a shorter body. That of course would require a shorter chamber and therefore a new reamer.

Ive got a new barrel on the way. Thanksgiving maybe ::) I've been going over reamer designs and what I would do different. The most consistent thing is that I've always got room for another grain or so of powder in my current brass. I never fill it quite full.
