6 BRX Chamber Length

Is it possible that my 6 BRX chamber length is 1.584"? I machined a plug that fits in a BRX shortened case. The OD of the plug is only .260". Can anyone see why this might give me a false reading? I used this same plug with my 6BR and measured 1.571". Later! Frank
