Am looking at getting a T.C Encore bbl in 6BR but wonder about the recoil. Have shot a lighter TC Contender in .223 and do not want much more recoil than that for bench work. With the heavier and longer bbl Encore, shooting moderate velocity but accurate loads and using 70 gr. or so bullets would the recoil be comparable? Would the 6br be comparable to another handgun cartridge such a 44 special/ 38 special or are we getting into the .357 mag level in terms of recoil?
May be that the heavy Encore would make a 6 BR seem like a 44 special in a lighter handgun? Even some rifle comparisons might be usefull--i.e., 6 BR with 60 - 90 gr. bullets has considerale/moderate/etc. more recoil compared to .223 with its 55 to 60 grain bullets? Any other thoughts/suggestons regarding a TC in 6BR--pros and cons, problems, etc.?
