Border Ghost
Looking for some advise on a barrel for a 6BR , Have a BAT action , glued into a Scarborough stock, wanting to have a 6BR for some family competition out to 500 yds , any advise on length and profile . Do not want a real heavy barrel to hang on my action since it is a glue in . this is my back up gun for 6ppc , so i will be rebating the rims so the 6BR will work with ppc bolt face.
I was thinking in the line of a finished 25 inch contoured down to about .750 at muzzle , 1-8 twist want to use a 102grn bullet or lighter.
Thanks for any advise .

Is the rifle a LV now? Can you insert a weight in the butt? Just asking questions, because I know from experience that a muzzle heavy rifle can be hard to shoot well.

Kreiger LV or HV, neither would be to heavy for a glued BAT even at 30”.. personally I’d go either at 25”...
