Agree Bro. The 6BR is accurate no doubt but the 6BRX is a little tougher in my opinion. I asked Zack since my rifle only had @ 200 rds. down the tube would it be worth the effort to run the 6BRX reamer in my already accurately shooting 6BR chamber and he said absolutely. He was definitely right. The rifle never disappoints and will out shoot me any day. And with a little more authority as mentioned.

13.5 tw Krieger: I run Columns with either 31gns of Varget (about 3100fps), or 30gns of LT32 (3450.) Barts Original 66FB works with the same charges. Largely sub-quarter MOA at 100yds. I tend to run conservatively to not abuse components; you can run hotter if you prefer to - plenty of room above, I think. Haven't had the need to try other bullets. Yet.

What’s barrel life between both ?

6000 in a 6 BRX starting with zero freebore shooting H335, 8000 at least with the 6 BR, zero freebore, shooting H335.

On the dog towns, we shot till we could not see through the scope. In guns with fiberglass stocks, glued in actions, I will fill the barrel channel full of rubbing alcohol as barrel cooling technique. All the alcohol would evaporate from barrel heat.

I am still shooting that same Panda glued into an Old Atkinson stock. I would be shooting up to 5 rounds per minute, pulling the trigger with my middle finger(Shilen 2 oz). Rarely ever missed a shot till the mirage started boiling up over and around the mirage shield on the barrel. I put 10,000 rounds on that 14T hart barrel, and at 8000 rounds, it was still shooting in the high 2's.

You can cut these numbers in barrel life at least in half using H322, and less with N135.

I was under the impression that N-135 was easier on barrels than H-335 because of the lower "heat of explosion". Is this false.

N135 has 20% DNT in it, and it is hot. I read the same chart as you did.

I use the N135 in a hunting load with my 223 AI with 55g bullets and cci primers at 3650.

Field testing on p. dog towns, ground squirrel fields is rough on barrels...you learn a lot of things quickly or the barrel does not survive long.

the reason for me to get a BRX is to have the juice to get 105 class out to 1000! for that seems like i should use an 8T or mabie 7 1/2. what you say Ackleyman???

PS. my 6br will do it but i can definately see it losing steam past 600

What velocities are you or anybody else getting with this combo in a 13 or 14 twist, 24-26 inch barrel?
