6.5x47AI

Has anyone had any experiance with a 6.5x47AI. Looking for case capacity over the standard 6.5x47, increase in velocity with AI, and any load data.

If your looking for a little more power/powder i think the 260rem would fill the bill. To have a 6.5x47LAI built it will cost you some big money. Custom everything!! Go with the 260rem and use 243Lapua brass. Thats what i would do anyway. Or even better yet go with the 6.5Creedmoor. I have one and really like it. I think it gives you around 100FPS more than the 6.5x47L, about the same as an AI chamber would. But i also understand you wanting to be different, trying new things and just having fun. After all, being different is where it might be????? Lee

Skeetlee: reason I wanted to stay with the 6.5x47 is that I have 600 pieces of new Lapua 6.5x47 brass, a bunch of small rifle primers and 6.5 bergers. I have been shooting a standard 6.5x47 but wanted the additional velocity that the AI would provide.
