I have never had trouble getting the "47" to shoot, but I spec all my barrels the same way and on my current barrel I ended up with the exact same load as my last barrel, so I was pleased with that.
Erik,
I increasingly think this is wise practice - every barrel I buy seems to be a different make / different specification (not talking 6.5s here), largely thanks to past availability problems in the UK. I invariably find them very different even in super tolerant chamberings like .308 Win. For instance, the new barrel on my Barnard F/TR rifle really likes 175-190gn VLDs and not much else which is a bit of a shame as it's throated for 185-215gn Berger Hybrids. Its predecessor was a fan of Berger BTLRs, but they won't perform at all in the new one.
Ah well, if things were too easy, shooting wouldn't be so much fun!
