6.5x47 questions

Spring is around the corner and I’ve been collecting parts/ components for a short light suppressed all the time carbon fun/hunting rig. I have a 16.5” proof sendero that I want chamber in 6.5x47 it’s an 8tw what I’m wondering is, if I want to run lighter 6.5 bullets what freebore would be ideal with
123 scenar
129 scenar
130 eld
130hybrids
I’m assuming they’re different for each bullet. I’m not exactly sure what reamer my smith has for the cartridge but if his has the wrong freebore I’d be willing to wait a little longer and buy my own.

SAMMI spec is .168” and it will be fine for anything you have listed and up to the 140 Berger’s
I’ve shot 95gr hornadys in a 168” and shot very good

Can’t help with the free bore. But another bullet to consider is the 124 Hammer Hunter. I’m shooting it out of one of my 6.5x47’s. Incredible on game performance. Not the highest BC but I don’t shoot past 500 yds on game with this gun. I shoot the 130 Berger hunting in my other x47. It’s also been great on deer size game.

.123" is perfect for 130 VLD's and 123 Amax.

6.5 CM and 6.5x47 are so close to being the same, that the only factor In which is more accurate, will be the shooter on the trigger and how he develops a accurate load for his given rifle.

Try flat base bullets to, I'm currently playing with Hornady Interlock 139gr and 140gr in mine. Hoping for outstanding results for less than 300yards. The boat tail bullets like longer ranges to settle down and fly straight,... so I have been reading?

Thank you guys. Now I really know what to ask for. I thought I was settled on projectiles but now you guys all have me thinking about trying a few different ones. I noticed lapua scenars aren’t as popular as I thought they would be for this round

FWIW i don't use scenars anymore due to poor hunting results i had with them. Berger 130 0r 140VLD (my favorite) all the way to the bank.
