6.5x47 Lapua Load Data

I'm looking for load data for my new toy, a 6.5x47 Lapua 22" Barrel with 8 Twist. All i have right now is Hornady 123 A Max bullets.

What bullet weight and for what purpose?

With a 22" tube I would probably start with Varget.

Try 37.5 gr RL15 and work up from there, Kiss the lands m/l. Works for me at 300 yds but heavier charge, but you need to work up yours.

I use 41.5 gr N550 with 123 AMAX.
WORK UP TO LOAD.

I use 35.8gr Varget behind the 123 Amax. I'm shooting silhouette so not looking for top end velocity. These loads chrony at around 2800 fps in a 25" barrel IIRC.

I USE H4350 130GR VLD CCI 450'S

Feed that 8 twist with 130 grain Berger VLD. I use 41.3 grains of H-4350 ignited by a Remmy 7.5 primer. The second time I used my 6.5-47 at our 1000 yard shoot, I took 3rd place in the non magnum class. i scored 247-13X our of possible 250-25X. The wind that day was gusting 4-8 miles.

I am, I use 139 gr. Lapua Scenars though.
