6.5x47 Lapua Speeds

I finally got my load development finished with my 6.5L and was able to check velocity with the magnetospeed. With H4350 and 130 VLDs I am running 3010 fps with single digit ES. My load is pretty stout compared to most others using this combination from what I have read but I haven't had any issues with pressure. Running a 28" light varmint contour Krieger barrel. Accuracy is lights out with this load.

What kind of speeds are you guys getting? Did I just get lucky and get a fast barrel?

with my 26" Bartlein 1-8 RL-17 41.5 140 amax chono @ 3005 es/sd single digits ( deer/antelope rifle) my other 2 ...6.5x47 L like lower vel 2850ish with 140 amax,s and 2900 ish with 123 amax,s all chono ed...this is my rifles YMMV start low & work up..Danny

31"Kreiger, 130VLD, h-4350, 2890fps. Had a higher velocity load but cases would get sticky in20 round fclass strings in the warmer months.

I haven't had a chance to actually chronograph my loads, but my sub-half MOA load of 40.1 H4350 under a Berger 140 VLD is going 2,925fps with no pressure signs - according to measured drops using both JBM Ballistics and Strelok.

my 28 inch Bartlien 5R 8 twist in Lapua brass,WW WSR primers,42 H4350 with the 130 VLD was screaming out at 3015 fps avg SDs in single digits,,

one day at the Dome hit 4 inch swinger 8 times in a row at 800 and 10 hen eggs in a row at 300 with that load,,

had brass with 20 cycles that started splitting necks that still had tight primer pockets,,

freebore is .187 so anything shorter this load will be over pressure,,

Forgot to mention that my barrel is a 26" Rock Creek 5r 1 in 8 twist.
