6.5x47 Lapua...decreasing ES

I am shooing 6.5x47 L with 130 Bergers, CCI 450s, H4350. I shot in 0.5 grain increments from 39 to 41.5gr thru the chronograph. I did seem to find a node, my velocities all varied 20-40fps. Everything I seem to shoot out of the gun shoots half inch or better, I want to find a load with a good ES to help me at 500+ yards..How do I want to go about finding a load with a low ES?

Thank You

I have 2 different barrels in 6.5X47 Lapua. One is an 8.5 twist and the other is a 9 twist. I've settled on using H4350 and the best ES I can get with 130 bullets is in the high teens.

At 500 yards I don't consider an ES of that amount to be a draw back. Though it would be nice if it were lower.

I've also tried Varger, Reloader 15 & 17. They were slightly worse.

i had no luck with any of your components, i use 130 jlk's rl 15 wolf primers.ES is the max is 10 SD is 4 for 10 shots..........jim

Try some Vihta-Vioria or however it's spelled and some Norma 203B they both give alot less ES than anything I've shot.

Pashooter Br,

I switched from cci 450 to cci br primers. 139Sc 38,7 N550
avg speed 2790 fps ES went down from 28fps with 450 to 18fps
with the cci Br.

good luck
