Agreed. I also found a node with 140gr VLD's over 41.5gr RL17, but my chrono said 2900 from a 26in bbl. It was hard on brass. Probably less than 10 reloads. I settled on 39.5gr/2800fps, brass lasts forever. You CAN get 3000 with 130gr VLD's and there isn't much difference in BC from the 140.
In fact, that is my new load.

I started at 40gr of RL17. Don't have numbers in front of me, but think I ended up with a full case at about 42gr (uncompressed).

the 130 VLD is my go to bullet in the 6.5x47,,it seems to be the best balance between BC and FPS,,,my 28 inch Bartlien 5R 8 twist goes 2990-3010 depending on conditions,,I use WW WSR primers and H4350,,start about 41 grs and work up,,depending on the lot of H4350 I can find I load to the 3,000 fps node for best accuracy in my bbl and some lots only takes 41.4 and others take 42.8 ,,ever time I change lots I just work up to 3,000 and shoot it till its gone and start over with the next lot,,41.4 is the fastest and 42.8 is the slowest lots I have gotten but most of it takes 41.9-42.1,,,and I have brass thats been loaded 30 times ,,that crap is almost bomb proof,,
