6.5x47 and IMR 4166

Has anyone tried this combo yet?

I have 123g Amax, 130s and plenty of 140s.

If in the Varget burn rate, should work pretty well, especially with the lighter bullets.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Dennis, do you mind giving me ballpark amount that you are using for the 140s? I am currently using 40.2g of H4350 with the 140g Hybrids. Is our load similar to what you were using with H4350.

Thanks in advance.

I'm using 40.1grs of 4451 for 2800fps out of Berger 140 LRBT, Hybrid, & VLDs, all of which have been HBN coated. Bbl is a 26" Krieger 1-8tw; chrono is a CED M2. My reamer's freebore is .123".

Apologies in advance for the thread necromancy :D

Flatlander - do you have any info on what percentage of the case is filled with your 40.1gn load of 4451? I'm not terribly experienced with reloading but, as I understand it, a higher fill percentage means more consistent results? True?

Thanks,

Mike
