6.5x47, 6.5x55 or 6.5x284?

I am building a rifle for 600-1000 yard benchrest and I have it down to these three. Barrel will be here in a week, 1 in 8'.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.

well we sould hear rhino chime in here for the 6.5x55 soon.they all will do it.its a choice of 120-130 gr class bullets or 130-140 gr class bullets.for the lighter its the 6.5x47 for sure and eather of the other 2 for the heavies.the 6.5x284 will go a bit faster of the 2 tho,yet the 6.5x55 aint behind very far to make that big of a difference.

Shooting for score, I'd say the Swede is a good choice. For group, I'd have to concede the 6.5X284 is the cartridge to beat, but at a cost.

Thanks for the input. I ended up going with the 6.5x55 and so far it is paying off. The first 3 out of the barrel at 100 yards were .250, then I moved to 200 yards and put 4 in at just over 1/2'. The next day I put 3 in at 300 yards right at 1/2'.
I posted some photos on the main message board under 'Rifle finished in time for 600 yard Nationals'.

Thanks,
Flintlock
