To me this on going debate, is nothing more than marketing, and personal preference. I personally like the 47L. But the facts are a .264 Cal bullet leaving an accurate barrel, at an appropriate speed for that given bullet weight, is the same from a CM, a .260, 6.5x47L or any thing else. I personally get 2850fps from 40 Grns of RL17, shooting way sub MOA. on a 139 grn Lapua Scenar. and any target from 100~1000 yards is in trouble.I am unable to understand why the Creedmoor is preferable to a regular 260 Remington.
Someone, please enlighten me, with hard data. It looks like a 300 Savage necked down and Improved. So many of the new cartridge seem based primarily to get people to buy new rifles, and new barrels.
Most hunters need to be convinced that there have been any worthwhile improvements since the 300 WM and 7mm Rem Mag were introduced more than half a century ago.
thank you...

Rich

I am very sure that the CM, the 260, 6.5x284, 6.5x55 or any of the other 6.5 cases will do the same. SO maybe its TIME to give up the BS, and just have fun.
