6.5mm 130 grain Swift Scirocco 2

Swift claims their 6.5 mm Scirocco 2 to have a .571 b.C.

100 bullets per box Caliber 6.5mm/.264 Diameter .264' Grain 130 Profile BTS Length 1.353' Sectional Density .265 Ballistic Coefficient .571

Has anyone had any experience with these bullets? Is the B.C. what they claim? And most important how do they shoot?

I have shot these in my 6.5-284. They are shooting 3/8 inch and 3190fps out of my 26' tube. This is a max load with H1000. I asked a similar question about the high claimed BC and am still wondering about it. I haven't been able to contact the fellow who allows me to shoot out to 1K yds to do some serious testing.

I've used them in a .260 Rem. and a 6.5 WSM and have taken a couple of mule deer with them They grouped well in both rifles and performed well on game.

I'm sure that thier true B.C. is into the .5 range but unless you have doppler radar, who really knows for sure.

Archerross, let me know if the drops you match up to the claimed B.C. when you get out and shoot.

JR, how did the 6.5wsm work out? What type of velocity / accuracy did you get.

I am interested as I have a 6.5 SAUM being built. It will have a 26' barrel on a Rem. 700 short action.

The 6.5 WSM was a big disappointment, both velocity wise and all of the issues with the brass.

I would have been miles ahead, if I had simply built a 6.5 X 284. If there is still time, you should reconsider your project.
