6.5 X 47 Lapua H4350

Has any one tried H4350 with 130 Berger's . I have been using Varget at 37.4 gr 2950 f/s
I have some H4350 and would like to try it . I know it works with 140s But I have a crap load on 130s to send down range .

I shoot 40.5 grains of H4350 with Swamp Works (JLK) 130 grain bullets.

It shoots nice little clusters at 400 yards.

I don't own a chronograph. I load for group size not speed.

I use 130 Berger VLD, Lapua brass, CCI 450 primers, and 41 grains H-4350. 2890 fps, 30 in. Kreiger.

Berger 130gr VLD, 41.5gr H4350, and Wolf SRM works for me on two different guns. One is short throated (easily clears an AICS magazine) and one is longer throated (reamer designed for 140gr pills).

Check out the article here on the front page under 6.5X47 Lapua. Don Nielsen set a record at 600 yards with Re-17 and 130g Bergers. I've used both H4350 and Re-17 with JLK 130 VLD's and there is no comparison. With Re-17 my groups at 600 yards run around an inch and velocity is right at 3000 fps. at the muzzle. My barrel is a Broughton, 8 twist, 5C, 1 1/4" no taper , 30 inch.
