you have a special powder source...Love N560 in mine, Started with some RL26 and it works good also. Have burned out 4 barrels with N560 5 to 6 ES. Reloader 26 is not quite as good but the speed is there and so is the accuracy.
great info, helpful & appreciated!I don't think it burns barrels any faster, I got 1500 to 1700 rounds through all of them. If you run one hard thats about as good as it gets.
Years ago I used 52.8gr of RL22 in a 24" hunting rifle. Later I switched to RL23.Ran out of H4831sc, so trying RL-22. 50g, 51g, 52g
139 Scenars. CCI Primers.
Lapua 2X fired brass
28" 1/8 Krieger HV bbl
Also have VV N560.
VV yes; no...?
Seems like powders are in short supply?!
I would if I could find some...Try Re23 with heavies. I am getting 2000+ accurate loads in multiple barrels.

Good info! I have; for me "alot" of VV 550 - so I'm inclined to use what I have especially with the component situation. thx for the post. I'll snag some If possible. The VV 5 series powders are triple based powder and will burn barrels faster. When i started with the 6.5-284 i tried H1000 and could not get enough in the case to get decent speed YMMV. I had some IMR 4831 and used it till it was gone and in my gun got better accuracy than H4831. I did not like H4350 but don't remember why. But the best i have found is VV165, it is double based and has flame temp as low or lower than H1000 but is capable of making speed without over filling the case. RL22 had not come on the market yet so i have no idea. Some are using Retumbo, I was temped to try but the RUMs and 338lap use it so Ive never tried. If barrel life is even a small consideration use the VV165.
