6.5 Creedmoor vs. Other 6.5mm Chamberings

There a reason you used caps? Your computer brokeRoger!
SIR, you show a general lack of understanding about something than can get you SERIOUSLY hurt. I can't suggest strongly enough that you not take the advice as a personal affront. You need to find someone whom will sit with you for several sessions and hold you hand while you learn. Most of us here have followed a similar path. It could be your eyes, fingers, or face that gets saved.

I've reloaded over 800 rounds of .308 with amazing results. I'm learning the in's and outs of 6.5 CM now. The last thing I am is reckless. When I'm not asking questions on here, which I do while I'm at work, I am reading at home. I literally just got my 6.5 CM two days ago. I'm not going to be reloading tomorrow or even this week.

The bushing size will depend on ur brass. After you load a round you can measure it and determine what you wanna do with neck tension. For all around general purposes i select a bushing .002 under my measurement. That measurement will differ from one brand of brass to another.

Tell you all what. I'm done posting, asking questions, asking for advice. I'll do everything on my own. When I'm am set, perfected my loads and shooting sub MOA at 800 yards and beyond I'll post again. Until then. Everyone who helped me and made this forum enjoyable and educational for me, thank you. For those of you that chose to be keyboard commandos and answer my questions with disdain and immaturity. Good luck to all of you.

You might take this the wrong way but please don't.
Recently you've asked a few questions many new shooters would have. Questions about caliber and cartridge. The twist on this is you're also talking about reloading. That sends a shiver up many members backs because they are worried about your safety. Please refer back to any reloading manual and just thumb through the cartridges before and after the rounds you are interested in, you might be surprised how many are very similar but "not the same" as what you are shooting.

These responses are all for your safety. This is the most informative, cordial forum I've ever run across.

Well said. I suspect the OP may have taken the subtle (and not so subtle) words of advice as a personal insult. It’s somewhat evident he has a lot of homework to do - especially since he’s reloading. I truly hope all goes well.

Which ultimately was derived from the 30/06 which was derived from the 8 x 57 mm Mauser (1888) (except for 0.001" difference in body diameter at the head).
Exactly

The OP asked:

Can someone please explain all the 6.5 Creedmoor variations

There are none !
A 6.5 Needmore is what it is and is derived from the 260 Rem which is a 308 necked to 6.5 mm.
Arguments stem from its parenthood being a correctly called a 6.5/08 or 260 Rem......take your pick.

Any day the 100+ yr old 6.5x55 loaded to modern pressures will kick arse of a Needmore.

The Point?

Wick don't give up. Most posters are earnestly trying to help. Unfortunately some are antagonistic. You have a ignore button you can use on insulting posters, I suggest using it. I use it on posters who do not offer sincere advise.

Guys! He’s here to learn and get help! Let’s show him our good side! We all started sometime!
I hope MR. Wick comes back, his threads have been like reading a book you can’t put down this winter. I’m jealous of the amount of rounds he gets to send down range, while I have a hard time finding a day that it works out.

You're right we should be more helpful up front; however, there were quite a few red flags on this one, maybe some ego clashes on both sides.

For me, the statement of the morning is; "I'll do everything in my own...". I think this is a great reminder that though we're an internet forum, we're not loading your rounds for you; so, yes? We're all doing this on our own and there's much to be learned from that, hopefully safely. I do hope Mr. Wick is being safe; the rest of you, I trust to know better by now.

Mr. Wick said they'd return with some sub-MOA 800y groups, so if they follow a good reloading manual; that shouldn't be too long from now once components arrive. Just guessing, but from my knowledge of this group, sub-MOA groups are kinda the norm?

Anyway, Good Morning everyone, catch you all later. I'm awaiting my membership renewal prior to learning how well these new fangled mufflers impact accuracy, so back to the loading room for me! Which variation of 308, shall I load... Maybe 243, maybe 7mm-08?
