What is it you are trying to do?Is there a difference between 6.5 CM and 6.5X47 CM? And what bullets am I going with? I just ordered basic 6.5 CM Lapua Brass. I want to go 140 grain. Why am I seeing mm next to some things?
Those as you call them variances are actually different cartridges.I'm seeing SMK Bullets that say Sierra Bullets 6.5mm (.264). Lapua Brass that says 6.5x47, 6.5x55, and 6.5 PRC.
I have just a regular 6.5 CM Rifle. What are all these variances?
Ok. Everything is clear now. I totally get it. I need a .264 Projectile. Those as you call them variances are actually different cartridges.
6.5x47 Lapua
6.5x55 Swede
6.5 PRC Precision Rifle Cartridge
You have a 6.5 Creedmoor
There are many similar cartridges that are not interchangeable. Just to give a visual of some that vastly different. Left is the 6.5 CM, right is the 6.5 PRC.
Thank you. I understand it now. The cartridge differences and the use of mm threw me off. I need a .264 projectile for my 6.5 CM Lapua.

They have lots of factory ammo in 6.5 Creedmore, try some of them before you start reloading and while you get familiar with things. Factory ammo is safest way to start this addiction.
Yes. I shoot large rifle primer Lapua. Thank you. I have been shooting the Hornaday 140 grain ELD Match Ammo while I wait for all my new reloading supplies. There’s also small primer and large primer brass for the 6.5 Creedmoor.
Someone in your other looking for brass thread was trying to show you some Lapua small primer brass for sale in the classifieds.
I think that bushing must of been for your 30 caliber.I listened to everyone and bought the Redding Type S Full Length Bushing Die with the the Bullet Seater. .336 Titanium Nitrate Bushing. IMR 4350 Powder, Lapua Brass. Just deciding on projectiles. Got a new Magnetospeed V3 Barrel Mounted Ballistics Chronograph and Head Space comparator too.
Damn it. I bought the wrong one. Thank you for pointing that out. That was for the .308.I think that bushing must of been for your 30 caliber.
Creedmoor would be like .289 or .288
I will be doing a lot of reading as I have time before my Powder and Brass get here. For the Redding Type S FL Die you recommend. 288 or .289?Yes I agree with McGraw. Study up on presssure signs too, they are your warning signs.
