6.5 creedmoor new brass with factor primer

I have a local gun shop that tells me he can get hornady primed new brass. He wants $55/100. The first problem I seen was it didn’t have a hornady head stamp. It had FC stamped into it. It the second problem I have is what primers are they. They can’t tell me that. I’m not concerned I will do a load work on that part. Do you think it’s worth the buy?

Personally I'd stay away from new federal brass. I've smoked thier pockets in 2 firings
Loaded below book max.

Depends on what you think your use will be. It's not going to be a combination for Match shooting or accuracy pursuits. It is suitable for plinking and maybe hunting at moderate ranges. You really won't know until you test it.

I have been using a bag of 50, from Hornady and it has been working just fine, some have 4-5 reloads in them. Shooting deer earlier in the season and plinking around, paper and two coyotes.

That's Federal brass, and Federal brass sucks. If he's honestly trying to pass it off as Hornady, I'd never give him a dime for anything.
