6.5 creedmoor and n540 ? Loads

I have 6.5 x 47 laupa but a buddy bought a 6.5 creed he has a jug of n540 anyone use it or have any experiences

I've used it some in a 7mm08. It is very close to varget. Published charge weights were within a couple of tenths.

I shoot, N-160 and StaBall 65, in My Creed with, 130 to 143 grain bullets.
IMO, N-540 is, too fast a Powder, except for, 123 grs !
N-540 only produces,.. 2,500 to 2,600 FPS with, the 130's,.. NO, thanks !

Like Varget ( Fast Burn ) so it's probably Fine with,.. 120-123 grain Bullets

550 I would try, but 540 it may be the best powder ever was for the CM, little fast unless your running a shorter barrel, I would use it then with a say 24 inch barrel

540 is slower than Varget in my experience. I use it in 223 and recently tried some in my 6x47L on a whim as a backup to Reloder 16. With 105 Nosler CC, three shots went into a tiny little hole. Then I moved out to shoot steel at distances from 300 to 800.

I'm not sure on velocity, as I didn't chrono, but may if it is repeatable.
