6.5 CM vs 260 Rem with Lapua Brass

I've had no issues with my 6.5X47 built on a Remington 700 SA. Thought that I may need to have it bushed, but so far so good. It is a hunting rifle that shoots 130 AccuBonds at 2900 fps out of a 25" Benchmark.

I've seen the 700s go both ways, perfect in one rifle and the ugliest primer flow ever on the next.

All 3 of my 700s had too small a firing pin for the hole Remington drilled. I was blowing SR primers not LRs. I found the holland oversized firing pins. So i was able to adjust the hole to just let the holland smoothly move forward. That helped but i am rebarreling my 260 with LR primers to 6x47 which has SR primers. Gretan is getting my bolt this winter so i can be sure if i have to i can push the pressure. I am also going to get my 6br bushed for safety sakes.

I haven't tried to push pressures up.with the SP brass. I used the identical load in alpha LR and SR and did note a drop.of approx 50fps. with the SR. SD was cut in half to 7. So, in my rifle there are advantages to both. Velocity is not a problem in my 30" Krieger, 2940 with the 142 smk at my most accurate load.
Good luck with your new rifle.
