6-24 vortex viper pst geni tracking issues?

Ok I was trying to sight in my rifle for deer season and can’t get it sighted in. I hit 1moa high and 1 moa right so I come down 1 moa and 1 moa left then hit 1 moa low which would have been 2 moa from first point of impact and 1 moa left which is also 2 moa from first point of impact. Then I shot two more shots with no adjusting to check and hit right next to the first high and right hole then shot again hit the bullseye and shot one more and hit by the lower hole. So then I tried a different load same thing hitting all over the place. Would you try and do a box text or just take it off and send it in?

I would double check the mounting, it sounds like it or the rail is loose or the rings are not properly aligned.
My rule, when all else fails, go back to the beginning and double check everything.

It’s on an ar15 so the mount isn’t loose it’s machines into the upper the scope mount was rechecked for tightness or retorqued as well as the rings. Triple checked this it’s a warne one piece ar mount. Has worked good to develop the loads shot it this summer a bunch and now boom the scope doesn’t seem to be holding zero or tracking well.

What kinda groups were you getting with the other scope? I'm no fan of vortex, but that may not be the problem

What torque spec are you using on the ring caps. Don;t use more than 15-18 in/lbs.

Also I would shoot a three shot group and adjust. This way you can see if it's the load changing from summer to winter temps depending on your powder used or a scope issue. Also a box test is a good idea as well. After doing that if you have another scope I would try it and rule out a rifle/load issue.
