$ 6.00 @ gal.

Well here we go i have planned to go to all the 1K BR matches this year and gas is going to go out of sight. This gun control at it's best, you can't afford to shoot.............jim

I just paid $54 to fill up my tank....

But this was only half a tank, in a four banger. That is ridiculous!
Soon folks will have to get a second job (if you can find one =p ) to pay for the gas bill for you to get to your first job. And then they'll tax the crap out of you because you make 'too much money'! >:( >:( >:(

It costs me over a hundred to fill my tank in rochester new york.We are hovering around 4.09 a gallon for regular and premium is 4.32.

Yea and NO DRILLING ANYWHERE!!! They must have got there diplomas out of a Cracker Jack box. It's just unbelievable.

$3.69 for 87 and $3.93 for 93 here in Houston.

I traded by SUV last weekend as I was tired of $80 fill-ups also. What is weird, the dealership paid me a rediculious amount for it. Figured I would take a beating with folks wanting to get out of the gas hogs, same as me, but I guess not.

As a retired guy I have to pick and choose when and where to shoot these days. It costs $50 + to fill my Toyota Tacoma 4 cylindar. A match in Portland can easily be an $80 or more day.

oh but the media is telling us to be thankful, because it so much higher in other countries.... most of those countries import all of thier oil and you could ride a bike around the whole border....
the thing i saw happen before is they drove the price up to above 3.00 then dropped it to 1.85 so we would think that was a good deal..... now it will go above 5.00 and then it will come down to 3.75 a gal. and we will be going thank god it is only 3.75.....
remember when i said it is going to get worse before it gets better.....it isn't just the gas prices.....
when gold goes up and especially as high as it is now it is usually an indicator that the economy is going inthe tank..... nomatter what the media is feeding us we are in deeper do do that you think..
my folks taught me to always keep at least 4 months of food, water a gun in a pantry so thet when things go to hell you have something to survive on and protect yourself from looters..... it will happen......

Everything is bigger in Texas Mark. Including what we want to drive. :D
For work, I drive the smallest car around. 175 miles to work and back because I live way out in the country and work downtown. I have to fill up every other day. Thank goodness my company understands and let's us work from home two days a week. It really helps.

I really don't think it matters about drilling, or anything else, it boils down too greed and the oil cos. are making us pay for the next election. They fund both sides,so it's a no loose for them no matter who wins.
The best part is no COL. for SSI. for 3 years but they gave the gov. workers one every year. What a joke, they take from the fixed income people and give it to the companies for poor management and to hold a party ......jim

When gas goes up so does everything else. I am thinking of getting 1 of those little scooters that get 80 to 100 miles to the gallon and rig something up to put a gun case on it and have a place to lock my ammo up. What can they say about that? Its either that or a lot of water, beans and rice. I'm sure the wife won't like it if i consume to many beans. ;D

If this is who I think it is, the media sure slammed them on this when it happened, but you sure didn't hear much when they paid the government all the money back plus tons of interest. We only hear what the establishment wants us to hear. They tell us its getting better. Just hold off a little longer and it's all good!

I'm not holding my breath for this one.

I always love these debates on gas prices, nobody likes the high price, but most people don't do anything about it. I've been driving a 99 Dodge Neon to work and for probably 95% of my driving the last 6 years or so, every morning I meet all kinds of 4-wheel drive trucks, big SUV's with one person in them going the other way. WHY?

I to have a Dodge Dakota 4-wheel drive with a 318 V-8 and I love driving it, but it does half or less of the gas mileage of the Neon. I use the Dakota when I need to haul something or if we get a "big" snow storm, but otherwise it sits in the garage.

I have a good buddy who drives a F-150, cab n' half 4-wheel drive, his wife has an Explorer 4-wheel drive, he works, she doesn't and he pisses and moans when gas goes up a nickel!

Ole

Ole, but why not be able to drive what you want? It is like debates on certain firearms or magazine capacities. The 'need' or the 'practicality' of certain caliber or number of rounds a mag holds. Prices, IMO, are artificially being inflated to bolster certain agendas.

If we drill in our own country, then a major portion of our dependence on foreign oil will be significantly decreased, prices would be at reasonable levels, and our tanking economy would be helped significantly. Then we can get serious on the issue of alternative energy sources, without burdening the citizenry with unsustainable prices at the pump.

There someone goes, thinking intelligently again, there will be none of that here!

You want to run for a government office? I will vote for you!
