52gr SMK vs coyote

I ran out of Sierra 50gr Blitz, looks like the 52gr HPBT will work just fine. The big hole is actually the entrance and a small piece of jacket exited the lower gut in front of back leg. Sako A1 22 PPC with 28.5gr A2230 and Rem 7 1/2.

Dang, I think you done broke the pump!!!
Best guess is the shoulder got things really going.
Distance?
Good bullet. Good lick. Good job.

Thanks Bocephus.
I think you're right, point of shoulder made things happen. Caught him out mousing in the rain at 137 yards.

Impressive; and I like your set-up from the rifle & scope to the cartridge!
Thank you, I've been a Sako fan since I was a kid. Bought my first one from Dave Boggs in Oldenburg when I was 15, an L-461 Vixen in .222. Dad had to walk up to the tavern and "drink" about it before he'd let me spend $550 on that rifle which I still have. Later on Roy Knight of Connersville invited me to a benchrest shoot where I met Ferris Pindell and learned of the PPC's. I had a 1990 Shooters Bible I would druel over and one day about 12 years ago I came across this rifle, an A1 single shot in 22 PPC. Its been my favorite ever since. Thanks for the kind words.

Very Nice!!
I love my Sako also, just don't have any kills yet. I'm dying to get it out to the "chuck" fields, just haven't had the time.

No kidding, small world! I live just west of Oldenburg on the little farm I grew up on. Moved back here 3 years ago when my old man died. I was in Greensburg for about 20 years before that. Thanks for the reply Jim!
