Maybe I should do this for the locals. Cheap and easy to run. Make it really tuff, set targets at 600.
This the same type match Rodney beveridge puts on at the Way Out West Shooting Center?

The penalty is only if you cannot hit the berm 7 ft tall 50 ft long.

If you want a sighter round
then shoot in the Cold bore side pot , first thing in the morning for $10 closest to center wins all the money. Other than that everyone else has no problem coming prepared to shoot right off the bat. A lot of guys shoot the cold bore challenge just to get some dope.

Are the bench shooters accepted pretty well by the prone shooters to make it a fun day?

Yes , the number between the two is usually split 50/50. We are there to have fun and enjoy shooting our rifles . I would not accept any disparaging marks from people. Now there is some healthy hazing going on amongst friends. I tried to pride myself on making new shooters feel welcome. Depending on my neck sometimes I shoot prone and sometimes I shoot from the bench.

Brakes are allowed, suppressors are allowed, when it's your turn to shoot you have 2 minutes to be prepared to shoot. You will have 30 seconds then to break your shot then the guy you're shooting against will have 30 seconds to break his shot. Benches are provided. There is usually a flag at 100 yards and at 450 yd unless a storm has destroyed them. Other than that no we will not be putting out flags.

Wouldn't it be easier if you ask me which one you want to shoot. Most 30 calibers will be accepted if you are shooting something extremely large then ask me and I will answer you.

yea - i was basically thinking about the big boomers and if they would be allowed lol. wasn't sure if the 308 baer or 300 norma's would be in the mix. not sure i would want to shoot next to one of those canons with a break. not a bipod fan, but have a couple that might work no weight limit was mentioned??
