$500 Rimfire Scope?

As the title says, I'm looking for a dedicated rimfire scope. I will be shooting from 20 to 200yds, so an AO/Focus is a must, and I want 15x at least, if not 20x variable. The Vortex Viper has attracted my attention, but if there are options I've missed, I'd like to hear about them.

One stipulation I forgot, lifetime transferrable warranty without a receipt.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Leupold EFR 6.5-20x40 . will go down to 10yds. to infinity . Parallex is key when it comes to rimfires. I have several of them and have the varmint hair installed for distance shooting....

Hmmmm . . . I'm not so sure that 32mm objective and 5" eye relief is what I'm looking for. But I appreciate the suggestion.

With the Burris Timberlne, at max power eye relief is 3.75. What is your intended use? Hunting? Targets? Both? Are you looking for lightweight? Sightron makes some decent scopes in your desired power range

I have a Sightron II 36x I use in ARA, never shot over 50yds with it but I can see & read the fine print on the ARA target at 50.

The rifle is a Savage MK II BTV in .22LR. I've no plans to ever hunt with it. It's simply too heavy to me for packing around and I like to stalk when small game hunting. There is a description of a tactical rimfire shoot on this site that some folks in Southern California have started recently that I thought looked like fun practice on my backyard range. I have no plans to shoot a tournament. Too rural and not much local interest.

Maybe you can refine your preference somewhat.

Are you looking to buy new or used?
If you are willing to buy used, how much sign of wear are you willing to accept? Things like significant ring marks.
Do you want first focal plane?
Reticle preference?
Objective diameter minimum you will accept?

If you want a no nonsense warranty that's automatically transferable, Vortex is the best in the business. No questions asked just send it in.

6-18 vari x 2 and if you get one with the dots on the crosshair (not a mil or etc, but some Leupold thing...maybe varmint reticle?) and target turrets youa re good to go. I buy them used, have three and love them. I buy mine with the standard plex, but then I use the plex as a ranging device. I bought all three at $400 to $425. Excellent scope.

Another scope worth checking out is Nikon's PROSTAFF Target EFR (extended focus range) 3-9x40. This scope will let you dial in the parallax adjustment from 10 yards on out. One of my favorite Airgun and rimfire scopes for under $190.

Also worth looking at the weaver T16 and T24 or V24 if the warranty isn't a deal breaker.
Weaver is not transferable ad a reckiept is needed, Ibve been told.

Go w/ the Leupold 45x, fixed. Loupold not LEOpold, only one O(oh) in the word.
