5.7x28mm

Just wondering if anybody has reloaded for this in a rifle or anything with 16 plus inch barrel. Any info would be helpful.

The Nov 2008 Shooting Times artical Favorite Loads listed loading data for short barreled arms . Per the artical the round would produce bullet velocities between those produced by the 22WMR and 22 Hornet rifles. The 5.7 mm uses .224 diameter bullets . I would like to see some rifles made for the 5.7X28mm round with a 1-14 or 1-16inch rifleing to handle 35 and 40 grain bullets.. Or how about a wildcat .204X28MM and .172X28 MM rifles..

I'm interested as well as I just had Kevin Weaver rechamber one of my Cooper 22 CCM's to a 5.7-28. I am mounting my scope this week and will report back on loads as soon as I make it out to the range...

cool let me know what you find out I was going to try lil gun or w296, or h110 with the longer barrel so that might help you with figuring out a load!!!!

I've just started reloading for the 5.7. Trueblue gets recommended as the powder closest to what FN uses in the factory loads.

I worked up a few loads around 6grains of TB using a 36gr Sinterfire bullet that was providing velocities around 2270fps in a 10.5" barrel. (Settled on 6.0 grains of TB)

Other powders recommended were HS-7 and N105.
