That was not the intent (if you read the original post it was a tongue in cheek post, and directed to those who could disseminate irrational emotional responses to a fun based reply). From the limited number of responses I cannot see any real proof of genuinely vicious 'anti British' feelings. And in fact anyone with anti British feelings would need no prompting from me and it would not bother me, plus I would not lose any sleep over it. Keep smiling and good shooting to All.

I must admit to having a sneaky admiration of most things American, and the fact that your forefathers had the huge cojones in taking on the British power way back when. But you still drive on the wrong side of the road!!!!! http://forum.accurateshooter.com/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif

The British Isles are are a great place to visit as is Canada both with fine people. I wouldn't want to live in either. Both are just too "legalistic" for me. Yes the U.S. seems to be under seige but we still have rights to fight for.

Perfect response. We shooters have enough enemies without having a go at each other (no matter which side of the Atlantic we live on). Tea anyone????

No problems with the English, well except Tea! Really, Coffee is the drink of hunters and shooters because it gives you a nice can to shoot at.

This winter I was watching a interview with the Dalia Lama and he was asked what his opinion was of America. His response was that for the sake of the world -( America must endure).

My guess is that the colonies would have been English and the Louisiana purchase never would have happened. Meaning the Middle ground would have been French and the west coast would belong to Spain ( Spain being sympathetic to the Germans). Russia would hold Alaska and most of western Canada. Germany having taken France in WWI would have massed an invasion force along the French held Mississippi and attacked the English America from the east and west. England itself would have lost the war. At which point the Germans and Japanese take Russia. The Japanese taking China, Alaska, and Siberia. Spain Takes all of Western Canada. Our only hope would have been the Australia and New Zealand.
