4895 or vv1354 for 6BR and 75VMax?

The spring South Dakota prairie dog trip is coming up quick and I am loading 400 rounds of 6BR with the usual 32.0 gr of Varget and 75gr VMax's, except I just ran out of Varget after the first 80 rounds. I didn't know there was no Varget to be had until three weeks ago. I have enough VV135 and enough 4895 to finish with, but not a lot of time to spend working up loads. Which powder would you start with?
Thanks.
,I tried Midway, Midsouth, Powder Valley, Graf's, Natchez, Bruno, etc. Then I drove over 200 miles locally checking stores. No luck.)

I have had good luck with 75 V Max 30.8 N135 & CCI 450's I haven't had a chance to try the H4895 with the Vmax yet although it did shoot great with 80 grain Berger's

I`ve used H4895 for a while w/ 87 vmax. 31.8 is max for my rig. I`m sure 30.5 would be a safe start point and you could get to 32 if you got the space.

I'm in the same situation as Alanw. I can't find any Varget, but I have a couple of pounds of 748. Have any of you used it in the 6BR with 75 grain bullets?

Skunce,
I'm in the same boat as you, plenty of 748 but don't have any load data. I'll ask the question and see if it draws any response. Chip

Hodgdon Manual # 26 lists other powders then just thier own and they list WW 748 in the 6mm br with a 75 grain bullet,no bullet brand given) 31.0 start load 33.0 max load @ 3117 fps and 47,500cup.

I've not used it in the standard 6 br but have used it in my 14 twist 6 Dasher with 75 V-Max's with outstanding results.

Hope this helps

Here is the Sierra Load Map for 6mmBR. You may find it useful for the lighter bullets:

Loads listed for IMR 4895 and VV N135

I use H4895 exclusively with A-Max 75 grain bullets in 243. It makes them laser accurate. You should have no problems since both are 6mm bullets.
