$425 to spend to a scope

i'm looking a quality scope in a 6-20 for about $425. does anybody have any suggestion? going to be using a 243 target rifle if that mite help.

If i was you i would definitely look into the sightron big sky scopes along with the 4200 elites. For the money i dont think you can buy better glass and construction made wise as these 2 scopes, or also a Nikon monarch is excellent too. Go somewhere that carries all three and ask to take them out side for a comparison between the three. I have all three, the glass in all three are about equal as far as brightness i think the sightron gathers a little more light for late evenings. As for the adjustments i would have to give a slight edge to the sightron. Other than that i guarantee you will be super satisfied with any of the three. Plus the warantees are all good also.

I bought a Weaver Grand Slam 4.5-14x 40mm and my son bought a B&L 4200 Elite 4-16x 40mm.

After comparing both, I sent the Weaver back and bought a 4200. The B&L has a clearer and sharper image.

Don't neglect used Leupolds. The factory will check them out for free and usually repair any problems for same. Just picked up a used 6.5-20x40 off ebay last week.
