40XB first blood

Had my new to me Rem 40XB 223 out this morning testing some loads. The 55 grain BlitzKing is showing really good accuracy when a big black wasp landed on my target. I wonder if.......... Well the answer was yes I can. Smoked that little bugger. First blood!!! I tried to post a picture of my target but it says its to large. I got it to post. If you enlarge the target you can see the little black specs around the hole. The center target is nine rounds. Seems as though I pulled one...not counting the wasp. LOL

Nice shooting. Hope you can get the pic loaded. Here is leftovers of a fly that landed near first bullet hole… 22 K-Hornet with 40 gr v-max at 3000 fps, Browning 1885 single shot. Those v-max bullets are deadly!

No doubt you smoked that fly. Small targets make for better shooters. Dang nice shot on that fly for sure!!!

That’s a good shooting rifle you have there, and nice job whacking the wasp!
Varmints have no chance, and now it’s clear who’s at fault if you ever miss .

Its a tank but it does shoot good. I have a Sako Vixen with a Wilson barrel in 223 that shoot pretty good as well. I'm a fan of the 223 bolt rifles. Not much on AR's though. I have dies and brass for a 223 AI but not sure if I want to change either one of these.
