40X repeater action, 6.5x47 L or 6.5 Creedmoor

I built my Grandson a 6X47L hunting rifle and it functions fine with factory 308 magazine box and follower.

I have 2-6.5X47L hunting rifles. One on a Pierce repeater and the other on a 700SA.

Al, the things that I do not like about Remington are the safety, bolt handles, and the bolt release. I'm doing one know and guess what, A custom receiver would be the same price or cheaper.

Tom, I'd start with a follower and spring from the 308 family....my guess is it will function fine with that. If you need to tweak the follower, the early milled followers make modifications a breeze.

I will go through my pile and see if I have one of the milled followers. I have the 308 followers, just not sure if I have any of the milled ones. I will need to pick up a box with the screw for the ADL, all of mine are for BDL.

I know this a old post that I started, but I have the action lined up, would like to use one of my 40X KS stocks that I have, but they are ADL stocks. Thoughts on the ADL configured 40X KS stocks. I like the weight and feel of these Remington / McMillan stocks. Only question now is the ADL feeding. Thinking it should not be a issue.
