40X in 22-250 question

Not doubting you, but what is the source of your info?

I read this too long ago to be able to tell exactly where I read it. It's got to be at least 25 years back, maybe longer. It may have been a gun mag, a tech publication, maybe even in a Remington advertisement/brochure. Too far back to say for sure.

And your point happens to be? It is shorter than a 7 mag.

Just wondering if Remington ever made a 40X in 22-250? Was going thru some barrels I had purchased years ago an pulled this one off the shelf. It has 22-250 Rem on one side of the barrel, and on the other side about 90 degrees away, is a rectangle with REP inside and a triangle with the letter "s", and thats all. Barrel is tapped for what I assume are scope blocks and the barrel, stainless, is 27" long.

Just wondering what I have.

what 40x barrels do you have, and you willing to sell any of them? condition?
