40x action?

Whays the going rate for a rem 40x action?

Seen a kinda rough one only bring about $500ish on GB a month or so back. I would say a decent single shot with clean standard bolt face probably $650 to 700 tops. Depending on how bad somebody wants one. A small bolt face maybe a tich more and a repeater with hardware probably $100 more. By then you are getting close to custom and with the Remington not being trued the customs start looking like a bargain.

Well, least that is my worthless .02 cents worth of information!!!!

Edit to add.....kind of a difference to some between 'what are they worth' vs. 'what are they selling for'!!! Probably sell for several hundred more than they are really 'worth'!!! Especially as many who have built on them do not find they are any better machined than a run of the mill new or takeoff 700!

Ahh good to know... my last build/build im still qorking on i got a brand new SS trued 700 repeater action... very nice no doubt, but when all was said and done i could have got a custom action for $100 more...

Sounds like its about the same boat...
