4 State 2 Man Team

Look again... it’s in there ;)

Speaking for the members of Panola County Gun Club, we thank all of you that attended these matches and those who weren't able to attend but still donated to this benefit match. We had shooters from Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi, and Florida. Perhaps we will call it the Eight State Two-Man Team Championship next year. We also had donations from New Mexico.

Congratulations to all the winners. Buddy Reich and Justin Utley in the sling category shot well all weekend. Jason Peel and Otis Riffey in FTR worked hard and it paid off, winning by one point over second place. In F-Open, Barry Holcomb and Shawn Broussard were, more often than not, the last shooters off the line, they worked real hard to make every shot count. I was really impressed with all the junior shooters who participated in this match, we have some real talent coming our way and they are coming on strong.

We also appreciate those who were behind the scenes helping to make this an outstanding match. Again, thanks all. Let's do it again next year.

Congratulations to the winners and to all who participated - all had a great time.

Thank you for the picures as well!

I need to consider making it next year -

Skip: would next year's match be about the same time; i.e., mid November?

Thx!

Alex

I only took the photo and posted. I didn’t pass or suggest the booster ;) but most anyone would need a booster taking a photo with those big boys.
Johnny, I am okay with the pic. I thought the whole scenario was a riot. I am totally at ease with my height. You start trouble, the first thing I am going to do is take your kneecaps out...... Boom, now you are at my level.

Alex, I hope to have it a little earlier in the fall, it could have been just a little warmer. It would be nice to have it before deer season and on a weekend that won't interfere with other ranges and their matches. I will be working on the 5 state f-class calendar soon and I will have a good idea what weekends would be available. The f-class calendar will be out in late January, the decision will be made by then.

Skip,
Yes! Avoid deer hunting season.

And...

I cuss at Windows 10 several times when I am on 'this' computer - my laptop. I went the extra mile to buy Windows 7 for our other three computers, but they will need replacing soon.

I finally got the opportunity to finalize the scores for the Four States Two-Man Team Championship in order of finish. I would like to thank everyone who attended, you have certainly made an impact on our club's ability to purchase the tract of land the club has been on for years. I would also like to thank all the nice folks who helped this match to be as successful as it was, you know who you are. Best wishes to each of you in the coming year, I will see all of you in the fall when we repeat this match. Two man team is a hoot, and you should bring your best game, you will need it....

I was looking at the roster of shooters there and they are some of the finest anywhere! I saw that Palo Alto (Louisiana) and Bayou Rifles (Texas) represented their respective clubs with excellent shooting and TOP HONORS! T-Rust me, to get at or even near the top, means you went some distance against the finest shooters around! Oh and by the way Skip, your efforts in furthering the shooting sports is incredible! Thank You! There are times I wish I never left Texas!
